LEA AI model policy for staff use
DC offers an optional staff-use model that preserves human decisions about student discipline and summative grading, with enterprise-tool safeguards. LEAs may adapt it.
Who and what it covers
The model is for local education agencies developing staff AI policies for schools and central offices. Student use and tool procurement require separate local policies. The model is optional.

Sources & Notes
This is an optional state-level model, not evidence that a particular DC school has adopted it. Bracketed local approval roles require customization. The model distinguishes staff feedback from student-facing AI and summative decisions.
